       POSTAL SERVICE GROUP 'B' EXAMINATION

As per the Recruitment Rules of the Postal Service Group 'B' following category of officials are eligible to appear for the examination:

i. Inspectors of Posts with 5 years regular service in the grade .

ii. Clerical Line officials working in Post Offices / RMS Offices / Divisional Offices with 5 years regular service in te Lower Selection Grade (LSG) and above .

Note: Postal / Sorting Assistants placed in the TBOP/BCR scales are not entitled to appear for the examination.

The Post & Telegraphs as well as Postal Manuals printed by the Department can be used for reference purpose by the candidates. The Postal Manuals are also available on the website (www.indiapost.gov.in) . The candidates can download the postal manuals prescribed in the syllabus of Annexure 'A' from the indiapost website.  In so far as the syllabus other than Postal Manuals like FRs & SRs, CCS(CCA)Rules etc; is concerned, approved reference books as available in the market are permitted to be used. The Postal Manuals which are not available on the website or unapproved reference books have been deleted from the present syllabus for this Examination. Photocopies of the Postal Manuals prescribed in the Syllabus are also allowed in the Examination Hall as already indicated.

LATEST NEWS ON GDS PAY COMMITTEE VISIT TO TAMIL NADU CIRCLE

It is informed that the GDS Pay Committee visited Tamil Nadu Circle and camp at Chennai on 21-10-2016. An interaction meeting with GDS officials (about 60) along with GDS Union leaders and discussion took place on all GDS issues.

On behalf of AIPEU-GDS, Com.R.Dhanraj, Circle Secretary & Dy. General Secretary (CHQ) submitted a memorandum to GDS Pay Committee at the conclusion of the meeting.

 बेहूदा मजाक

   द्वापर के अन्त की बात है। युधिष्ठिर को राज सिंहासन मिलने वाला था। चारों ओर खूब सजावट हो रही थी, राजमहल तो अद्भुत कला कौशल के साथ सजाया गया था। कलाकारों ने बहुमूल्य काँच और मणियों से इस प्रकार के नक्षत्र बनाये थे जहाँ जल से भरे हुए स्थान थल, और थल दिखाई पड़ने वाले स्थान जलाशय प्रतीत होते। बड़े-बड़ों की बुद्धि वहाँ चकरा जाती थी। दुर्योधन को यह सब पता न था, जब वे उधर से निकले थे, सूखी जमीन के धोखे जलाशय में चले गये। कपड़े भीगकर तर हो गये,दर्शकों की दन्तावली उपहास करती हुई खुल पड़ी। उतावली द्रौपदी से न रहा गया उसने कह ही तो दिया- “अन्धे के अन्धे ही होते हैं।”
  मजाक करना उच्चकोटि की कला है। किसी को चिढ़ाना मजाक नहीं मूर्खता है और खासतौर से जब कोई व्यक्ति किसी कष्ट में पड़ गया हो तब उसे चिढ़ाना तो परले सिरे का बेहूदापन है। दुर्योधन के कलेजे में द्रौपदी के शब्द तीर की तरह पार निकल गये। एक स्त्री द्वारा अपने पिता तक का अपमान होते सुनकर दुर्योधन का कलेजा जल-भुनकर खाक हो गया। मुँह से उस समय वह कुछ न बोला पर विषधर सर्प की तरह प्रतिहिंसा की आग स्थायी रूप से उसकी छाती में सुलग गई।
  हर आदमी जानता है कि महाभारत में कैसी रोमाँचकारी रक्त की नदियाँ बहीं और अनेक दृष्टियों के कैसे-कैसे दुष्परिणाम निकले। इस सब की मूल में एक बहुत ही छोटी वस्तु थी, और वह थी- ‘बेहूदा मजाक।’ हममें से बहुत आदमी द्रौपदी की गलती को अक्सर दुहराया करते हैं और अकारण मित्रों को शत्रु बनाया करते हैं।
